ePortfolio

Here are some pieces I have done for Writing for the Web. All titles are links for the PDF files.

I. Reflective Introduction

This is the short essay that serves as the introduction to the ePortfolio. I explain what I have learned from taking the Writing for the Web class. It gives an overview of what I did this semester.

II. Digital Literacy

I chose to write about my literacy of code, that is the language of web design. The paper is about the process of how my literacy formed. I also explain how learning how to code has affected my writing style.

III. Critical Analysis

For this assignment, I looked at "When Revision Is Redesign: Key Questions for Digital Scholarship" by Susan H. Delagrange on Kairos. I analyzed it based on the aspects of rhetoric and in terms of visual rhetorics described in "Understanding Visual Rhetoric in Digital Writing Environments" by Mary Hocks.

IV. Collaborative Project

The task for this project was to take a close look at the current First Year Composition website on the UGA English Department's website. Our group looked at how the FYC website is viewed from the students' perspective. This paper outlines the current state of the FYC website and future recommendations.

V. Remediation

For the remediation project, I translated my digital literacy narrative into a new medium. I chose to do a video for this project that shows my transformation and progress of how I learned to write code. The video also makes more sense if you read the digital literacy narrative first.
